Cancellation Policy for Day Tour Bookings:
Cancellations made 10 days or more in advance are 90% refundable.
Cancellations within 10 days are nonrefundable.
Cancellation Policy for Custom, Multi-Day, or Package Trips:
Cancellations of package, private, or custom reservations (or any components within a package) that are made 30 days or more prior to travel are 90% refundable (there is a 10% non-commissionable cancellation fee). Any charges incurred by Chugach Adventures as a result of cancellation will be applied to the reservations in addition to the 10% fee. Cancellations of custom or package reservations that are made 30 days or less prior to travel are non-refundable.
Chugach Adventures does not issue refunds for unused services.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance so you can plan your travel with complete peace of mind. We recommend Travel Guard (travelguard.com)
Weather – Trip Adjustments
Water levels, wind, and other natural factors beyond our control may cause us to alter your trip for your safety & enjoyment. For example on windy days, if you have booked a Wildlife Iceberg Kayak Adventure trip, we reserve the right to have you join in a rafting trip. Additionally, for our Spencer Iceberg & Placer River Float Rafting portion is based on water levels. We reserve the right to modify your rafting trip to a lake tour if the water levels are not sufficient for a safe/enjoyable trip down the Placer River. Landing zone locations and the extent of our glacier hiking & moraine treks are dictated mostly by the weather of the day and the group’s activity level & speed.
Chugach Adventures does not cancel trips due to inclement weather, unless the train does not operate to Spencer Whistle Stop or Alpine Air Helicopters is unable to fly to due to weather. If any trip is canceled due to extreme weather, we will honor a refund.
