1 review for AK Wildlife and Train Tour

  1. The AK Wildlife Conservation Center sits at the apex of the Turnagain Arm. The Portage Creek Mouth empties on the North West center boundary, and the Placer River mouth empties on the Southern boundary of the wildlife center. There is not a better vantage of the Turnagain Arm than from the center.

We spent a full morning admiring and photographing the caribou, moose, red fox, eagles, and black bears! What a terrific way to enjoy Alaska’s wildlife in a relaxing outdoor venue with a lovely gift shop as well. Very nice for young and old!!
